Educate- Thinking Thursday

We have a theme for each day focusing on balance, strength, flexibility and coordination. Click the button to do the exercises together. The exercises take as long as it takes for your kettle to boil. Do them each time you make yourself a cuppa and you will already have done a third of your exercise for the day if you boil the kettle 4 times.

Get outside and get going

Rambling is another word for walking but it is used more to describe walking for pleasure generally taking in the countryside. Rambling can be solitary or enjoyed as a group activity and a great way to spend some time in the great outdoors appreciating the wonderful beauty of the world around us. You generally find that you don't have to walk far out of your back door before you can be rambling and enjoying yourself whilst taking in some fresh air and benefiting your body.

There are many walking groups all over that would be only too happy to welcome new members. You can search for groups that encourage a variety of ages and characters if that appeals to you or you can find groups tailored to your own age group and ability.
